Living Water

Bubbling effervescence
busting down dam walls,
washing away the
clogging, clawing, effluence,
that clings to the sides of mind and soul.

Singing waters, dancing
through desiccated riverbeds
deep in the soul,
bubbling on over dusty,
crusty banks, irrigating
long-parched wastelands,
bringing spirit-soil back to life.

Wild unstoppable flow,
uncontainable in
ecclesiastical reservoirs,
laughing on, out into
the world God so loves.

O happy desert,
flowering and fruitful again;
wherever this living water flows, death must die.
